What is SEO?

"Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via "natural" ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results. Usually, the earlier a site is presented in the search results, or the higher it "ranks", the more searchers will visit that site. SEO can also target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, and industry-specific vertical search engines."
IT is the process of improving the visibility of a website on organic ("natural" or un-paid) search engine result pages (SERPs), by incorporating search engine friendly elements into a website. A successful search engine optimization campaign will have, as part of the improvements, carefully select, relevant, keywords which the on-page optimization will be designed to make prominent for search engine algorithms. Search engine optimization is broken down into two basic areas:
On Page and
Off Page optimization. On-page optimization refers to website elements which comprise a web page, such as HTML code, textual content, and images. Off-page optimization refers, predominantly, to backlinks (links pointing to the site which is being
optimized, from other relevant websites).
SEO are very important aspects and can influence your future if you master the concepts. SEO will get you and your business found on search engines. And that is how people are conducting research and choosing which products to buy, or where to vacation, or which service to purchase. People purchase based on what they find on search engines.

2. Quality content. The goal of a search engine like Google is to return the best search results. One big qualifier for this is quality content. So if you create good content on your site you will be more relevant to viewers, and therefore you will have a better chance of showing up in search results. Time on your site, with people reading your content is important. Low bounce rate, meaning people click into your site and stay there. And fresh content that is updated regularly - can all help your content score, and show your site more often in search.
Thus, to optimize our sites we need to know both how people use search engines, and how we can affect our site's search results. This is important because we don't seek high rankings for just any search. We seek high rankings on searches relevant to the content on our site.
